Explore Your Creativity: Our Art Courses

We offer a diverse range of courses designed for students of all skill levels, from absolute beginners to those preparing a portfolio for college.

🏺 Beginning Ceramics Ready to get your hands dirty? This course is a hands-on introduction to the world of clay. Students will learn fundamental hand-building techniques, including pinch, coil, and slab construction, as well as the basics of throwing on the potter's wheel. You'll explore surface decoration, glazing, and the magic of the kiln firing process. No prior experience is necessary!

🏺 Advanced Ceramics For students who have completed the introductory course, Advanced Ceramics offers an opportunity to deepen your skills and develop a personal artistic style. This course focuses on more complex forms, advanced wheel-throwing techniques, and an exploration of glaze chemistry. Students will work towards creating a cohesive body of work suitable for a portfolio.

💍 Jewelry & Metals Discover the art of wearable sculpture! In Jewelry & Metals, students learn to design and fabricate jewelry and other small-scale metal objects. You'll work with metals like copper, brass, and silver while learning essential techniques, including sawing, filing, soldering, and stone setting. This class is a perfect blend of creativity and technical precision.

🖌️ Beginning Painting & Drawing: This is where your artistic journey begins! This foundational course introduces students to the core principles of art through a variety of media, including graphite, charcoal, ink, acrylic, and watercolor paints. You will learn about composition, perspective, color theory, and how to see the world like an artist.

🎨 Advanced Painting & Drawing Building upon fundamental skills, this course encourages students to explore advanced concepts and develop their personal voice. Students will engage in in-depth projects, study art history, and work towards creating a professional-level portfolio that showcases their unique vision and technical abilities.

💻 Beginning Art Design Ever wonder what makes a great poster, logo, or website? This course is your introduction to the language of visual communication. Students will learn the essential Elements of Art and Principles of Design and apply them to projects that solve visual problems. Students will incorporate these skills into both 2D and 3D projects.

🖥️ Advanced Art Design: Take your design skills to the next level. In this project-based course, students tackle complex design challenges. You will refine your technical skills, strengthen your conceptual thinking, and produce polished works to compile a portfolio.
