The Arlington Link Crew Program is a high school transition program that welcomes freshmen and makes them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their high school experience. Built on the belief that students can help students succeed. The Link Crew transition program trains mentors from the junior and senior classes to be Link Crew Leaders. Link Crew Leaders are mentors and student leaders who guide the freshmen to discover what it takes to be successful during the transition to high school. Link Crew members facilitate freshman activities to get them excited and involved. They can help shape the culture of the school by providing positive experiences within the first year to incoming freshmen. If students have a positive experience the first year the chance for success increases dramatically. Link Crew provides the structure for freshmen to receive guidance, support and friendship from juniors and seniors who have experienced the challenges and rigor of high school life.
