Band and Colorguard

Branches of Band and Colorguard

1. Concert Band (Year Round)-This branch of Band is 3rd and 4th period students.
2. Marching Band (Summer + Fall) (@ahsgolden) -2 week of summer band camp is required. Performances are at various events which include but not limited to football games, pep rallies, and competitions. Previous musical experience is required. 
3. Colorguard (Year Round) (@ahs_colorguard25) - Colorguard is a performing arts based activity that handles flags, rifles, sabers, and dance elements. This team competes throughout southern California at various competitions. This program also performed at school wide events. Colorguard is a part of the marching band and holds tryout in May for the following year. Winter Guard requires an additional tryout for winter competitions. Try outs will be held in December. 
4. Drumline (Year Round) (@ahspercussion_ )Drumline competes with the marching band in the fall and auditions are held in May for the following school year. Drumline performs at various school wide and community events. Winter Drumline requires an additional audition which is held in December. Winter drumline competes throughout the spring semester at a variety of competitions. This team consists of drums and mallet instruments.
