ASB is the Associated Student Body for Arlington High School. ASB oversees the school activities and monitors the budget for ALL school events.  ASB members are enrolled in the Student Government course, which is a “G” approved course.  You will also learn valuable basics of government practices and leadership skills to be the best leader you can be on Arlington's campus.  ASB aims to represent every student on campus and encourages students to come out of their comfort zones to make the most of every experience.  ASB requires member participation throughout the summer and during late nights/weekends throughout the school year.

The goals of ASB are to serve the Lion family, create a memorable experience for ALL students on campus, promote unity and spirit, recognize students for their accomplishments, and grow as student leaders. ASB will work collaboratively with other campus organizations to ensure that student activities and campus life are alive and thriving.

ASB members are formally enrolled in the ASB class (4th and 5th period). All classes will receive leadership instruction involving graded assignments, activities, projects, and discussions. In addition, leadership students serve as members of our school’s student government and hold elected or appointed positions with specific job responsibilities. Since Leadership is also responsible for supporting many campus programs, students often attend and help out at many school functions throughout the year, such as athletic games, dances, band performances, drama productions, fundraisers, and more.

Being in LEADERSHIP is a commitment, one that one CANNOT take lightly. It is a great opportunity that comes with much responsibility. Leaders follow a great line of student leaders who have committed their time, energy, and heart to serving our school. It is the traditions of EXCELLENCE and SERVICE that you are expected to follow.

My goal as the advisor is to help the student leaders reach their GOALS and carry out the vision WE have for our campus and to provide opportunities that will help you GROW to be a lifelong LEADER. I hope that your INVOLVEMENT in Leadership provides memorable and fun experiences as well as meaningful life lessons in leadership and CHARACTER growth.

Our Mission Statement for Arlington High School ASB:

I understand that leadership STARTS with me, but it's NOT about ME. That it is my responsibility to create school SPIRIT. That I have the opportunity to SERVE my campus and community. I will find ways to SHINE the spotlight on others.
