About Arlington High School

Arlington High School is located within blocks of Riverside’s greenbelt and numerous orange groves.  Arlington High School is surrounded by both natural and cultivated beauty.  Arlington has a long tradition of building and maintaining strong partnerships with parents, alumni and community members.  Arlington stands strong on the motto “Remember the Name”.

Arlington High School was founded in 1973, and it is one of the five comprehensive high schools in the Riverside Unified School district.  The first graduation class at Arlington was the Class of 1975.  School colors are maroon and gold and the Arlington mascot is a lion.  Currently, Arlington has 1,914 enrolled students.

Arlington High School prides itself on student engagement and involvement.  Through the 21 athletic programs (most fielding all three levels), 45 different clubs and 14 VAPA and academic programs offered, students are bound to find something that connects them to school.

On behalf of California PBIS, Arlington High School of Riverside Unified School District has been awarded for the successful implementation of PBIS at the SILVER level. This
recognition reflects the school’s excellence in putting the core features of PBIS into practice.
With over 2,500 schools applying for recognition this year, earning this honor places Arlington High School among the elite groups – an achievement Arlington staff and community should be incredibly proud of! To acknowledge this honor, the school’s name will be listed on the California PBIS website and featured at the Tenth Annual California PBIS Conference in Sacramento, October 8-10, 2025.

We sincerely appreciate Arlington's hard work and commitment to implementing PBIS with fidelity
and creating the conditions to maximize social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes for ALL
students. Congratulations again on this outstanding accomplishment!
